International Andromeda Shipping – Monaco, opened its liaison office “Starship Constellation Inc” in 1999, from a small office in Worli. The fleet of product tankers, OBOs, LPG carriers and FSOs were manned completely with Indian officers and ratings. Confirming it’s commitment towards Indian seafarers the owners opened an Indian registered company “Andromeda Shipping (India) Pvt Ltd”, in 2001 leasing a bigger office in Mahalaxmi. In 2004 International Andromeda Shipping purchased its own office in Andheri, the owners taking a personal interest in designing a modern look office. Andromeda always had its own core group of loyal seafarers whose strong commitment to safe and efficient operation helped in easily obtaining ISO certification in Quality, Environment and OHSAS as early as 2001. Andromeda’s commitment was always towards quality and not quantity keeping its small fleet in excellent condition.
